Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

This commemorative stamp set marks the 50th anniversary of ALECSO (Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization), founded in 1970. ALECSO serves as the specialized agency of the Arab League responsible for promoting education, culture, and science throughout the Arab world. Jordan Post issued this four-stamp set in 2020 to honor the organization's golden jubilee and its contributions to Arab intellectual development. Each stamp in the set represents one of ALECSO's core domains: culture (ثقافة), science (علوم), arts and heritage (الفنون والتراث), and education (التربية). The stamps feature a consistent blue color scheme with symbolic imagery including laboratory equipment for science, open books for education, and cultural artifacts. The ALECSO logo appears prominently on each stamp, reinforcing Jordan's commitment to Arab educational and cultural cooperation. تحتفل هذه المجموعة التذكارية بالذكرى الخمسين لتأسيس المنظمة العربية للتربية والثقافة والعلوم (الألكسو) التي تأسست عام ١٩٧٠. تعمل الألكسو كوكالة متخصصة تابعة لجامعة الدول العربية لتعزيز التعليم والثقافة والعلوم في جميع أنحاء الوطن العربي. أصدر البريد الأردني هذه المجموعة المكونة من أربعة طوابع في عام ٢٠٢٠ لتكريم اليوبيل الذهبي للمنظمة ومساهماتها في التنمية الفكرية العربية. يمثل كل طابع في المجموعة أحد مجالات عمل الألكسو الأساسية: الثقافة والعلوم والفنون والتراث والتربية. تتميز الطوابع بنظام لوني أزرق موحد مع صور رمزية تشمل معدات المختبر للعلوم والكتب المفتوحة للتعليم والتحف الثقافية. يظهر شعار الألكسو بوضوح على كل طابع، مما يعكس التزام الأردن بالتعاون التربوي والثقافي العربي.
