Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

The Environmental Protection stamp set was issued by the Government of Jordan on October 14, 1999, to commemorate the establishment of Jordan's public environmental protection authority and raise awareness about environmental conservation. أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية مجموعة طوابع المحافظة على البيئة في 14 أكتوبر 1999 للاحتفال بتأسيس المؤسسة العامة لحماية البيئة الأردنية وزيادة الوعي حول المحافظة على البيئة. تعكس هذه المجموعة المكونة من طابعين التزام الأردن بالتعاون الدولي في مجال حماية البيئة وجهوده لتطوير سياسات شاملة للإشراف البيئي. يصور طابع الـ100 فلس أطفالاً يعتنون بالكرة الأرضية المريضة، رمزاً لمسؤولية الشباب في شفاء الكوكب، بينما يُظهر طابع الـ200 فلس أيدٍ واقية تحتضن الأرض كفاكهة ثمينة، ممثلة دور الإنسانية كحارسة للبيئة. يؤكد كلا التصميمين على الطبيعة الهشة لكوكبنا والحاجة الملحة لحماية البيئة.
