Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

The Jordan Trail commemorative stamp set celebrates Jordan's premier long-distance hiking trail, officially established to promote eco-tourism and showcase the kingdom's diverse natural and archaeological heritage. The Jordan Trail spans 675 kilometers from Um Qais in the north to Aqaba on the Red Sea, passing through eight distinct regions that highlight Jordan's remarkable geographical diversity. Each of the eight 30-piaster stamps depicts a different segment of the trail, featuring hikers and spectacular landscapes from Um Qais, Ajloun, As-Salt, Dana, Al-Karak, Petra, Three Wadis, and Wadi Rum. The stamps showcase both UNESCO World Heritage sites like Petra and natural reserves such as Dana Biosphere Reserve. The trail connects ancient Roman ruins, Byzantine churches, Crusader castles, and Nabataean cities while traversing varied terrain from Mediterranean forests to desert canyons. The 240-piaster souvenir sheet presents all eight stamps together with a route map, emphasizing the trail's role in sustainable tourism development. This issue reflects Jordan's commitment to preserving its natural environment while promoting cultural heritage tourism along one of the Middle East's most significant hiking routes.

تحتفل مجموعة طوابع درب الأردن التذكارية بمسار الأردن الرئيسي للمشي لمسافات طويلة، الذي تم إنشاؤه رسمياً لتعزيز السياحة البيئية وإبراز التراث الطبيعي والأثري المتنوع للمملكة. يمتد درب الأردن على مسافة 675 كيلومتراً من أم قيس في الشمال إلى العقبة على البحر الأحمر، مروراً بثماني مناطق متميزة تسلط الضوء على التنوع الجغرافي الرائع للأردن. يُظهر كل طابع من الطوابع الثمانية بقيمة 30 قرشاً قطاعاً مختلفاً من الدرب، ويعرض المتنزهين والمناظر الطبيعية الخلابة من أم قيس وعجلون والسلط وضانا والكرك والبتراء والأودية الثلاثة ووادي رم. تعرض الطوابع مواقع التراث العالمي لليونسكو مثل البتراء والمحميات الطبيعية مثل محمية ضانا الحيوية. يربط الدرب بين الآثار الرومانية القديمة والكنائس البيزنطية وقلاع الصليبيين والمدن النبطية عبر تضاريس متنوعة من الغابات المتوسطية إلى الوديان الصحراوية.
