Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

This airmail set of six stamps was issued by the Government of Jordan in 1958 to showcase the magnificent Temple of Artemis at Jerash, one of Jordan's most important archaeological treasures. أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة من ستة طوابع للبريد الجوي عام 1958 لتسليط الضوء على معبد أرتميس الرائع في جرش، أحد أهم الكنوز الأثرية في الأردن. تعرض الطوابع رواق المعبد المميز بأعمدته الشاهقة، مؤكدة على التراث الروماني والهلنستي الغني للأردن. يحمل كل فئة نفس التصميم المركزي الذي يظهر أطلال المعبد بتراكيب ألوان مختلفة، مع طائرة تحلق في الأعلى للدلالة على الغرض من البريد الجوي. كان معبد أرتميس، المكرس لإلهة الصيد الرومانية، من أهم المعالم الدينية في مدينة جراسا القديمة (جرش الحديثة)، التي ازدهرت كجزء من اتحاد الديكابوليس للمدن اليونانية الرومانية. من خلال إبراز هذه التحفة الأثرية على طوابع البريد الجوي، أظهر الأردن التزامه بتعزيز السياحة الثقافية والحفاظ على تراثه التاريخي. يخلق التصميم المتسق للمجموعة عبر جميع الفئات وحدة بصرية بينما تميز الأنظمة اللونية المتنوعة بين الأسعار البريدية المختلفة.
