Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

This commemorative set of five stamps, issued by Jordan Post on December 28, 2015, celebrates the ancient Decapolis cities located within modern Jordan. These stamps highlight Jordan's role as custodian of significant archaeological treasures that bridge the ancient and modern worlds. تحتفل هذه المجموعة التذكارية المكونة من خمسة طوابع، والتي أصدر البريد الأردني في 28 ديسمبر 2015، بمدن الديكابوليس القديمة الواقعة في الأردن الحديث. كانت الديكابوليس مجموعة من عشر مدن يونانية-رومانية تأسست في القرن الأول قبل الميلاد، وشكلت شبكة ثقافية وتجارية مهمة في شرق البحر الأبيض المتوسط. يعرض كل طابع بقيمة 50 قرشاً مواقع أثرية رائعة تظهر التراث الكلاسيكي الغني للأردن. تضم المجموعة بيت راس بأطلال مسرحها القديم، والشارع المعمد الشهير في جرش (جراسا القديمة) المصور خلال الساعة الذهبية، وأطلال قويلبة المعمدة، والهيكل المحصن المهيب في أم الجمال، والمسرح الروماني المحفوظ جيداً في أم قيس. تسلط هذه الطوابع الضوء على دور الأردن كحارس للكنوز الأثرية المهمة التي تربط العالمين القديم والحديث.
