Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

Jordan Post issued this commemorative horse set in December 2013, featuring five stamps and one souvenir sheet that celebrate the Arabian horse and its cultural significance in Jordan. The stamps, dated 2012 on their designs, showcase various equestrian subjects through detailed artistic renderings. The set depicts mares with foals, galloping horses, and portrait studies that highlight the grace and power of these magnificent animals. Arabian horses have deep historical roots in Jordan and the broader Middle East, representing nobility, endurance, and the Bedouin heritage that forms an integral part of Jordanian culture. The stamps range from 10 to 50 piastres and were designed by the Elham Naser Foundation, with printing handled by Henan Press in China. Each stamp was produced in quantities of 5,000, making this a limited commemorative release. The souvenir sheet features a herd of horses in a pastoral landscape, bringing together the individual themes into a unified composition that celebrates the enduring bond between horses and Jordanian heritage.

أصدر البريد الأردني هذه المجموعة التذكارية للخيول في ديسمبر 2013، وتضم خمسة طوابع وبطاقة تذكارية واحدة تحتفل بالحصان العربي وأهميته الثقافية في الأردن. تحمل الطوابع تاريخ 2012 على تصاميمها، وتعرض مواضيع فروسية متنوعة من خلال رسوم فنية مفصلة. تصور المجموعة الأفراس مع المهور، والخيول الراكضة، ودراسات شخصية تبرز رشاقة وقوة هذه الحيوانات الرائعة. للخيول العربية جذور تاريخية عميقة في الأردن والشرق الأوسط الأكبر، وتمثل النبل والتحمل والتراث البدوي الذي يشكل جزءاً لا يتجزأ من الثقافة الأردنية. تتراوح الطوابع من 10 إلى 50 قرشاً وصممتها مؤسسة إلهام ناصر، مع الطباعة من قبل مطبعة هنان في الصين. أنتج كل طابع بكمية 5000 نسخة، مما يجعل هذا إصداراً تذكارياً محدوداً.
