Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

Issued on October 3, 2010, this Tourism Sites set showcases Jordan's rich archaeological and historical heritage through five distinctive stamps featuring iconic tourist destinations. The set comprises four regular stamps depicting ancient architectural sites and one souvenir sheet highlighting the classical ruins of Jerash. Each stamp presents dramatic stone archways, tunnels, and ruins that exemplify Jordan's millennia-old civilization and its appeal to international visitors. The 10 piastre stamp shows the imposing fortress architecture of Ajloun, while the 20 piastre features ancient structures in Amman. The 30 piastre displays the historic Kerak castle's interior passages, and the 40 piastre captures the atmospheric stone corridors of Showbak. The 50 piastre souvenir sheet presents the magnificent Roman ruins of Jerash with its characteristic columns and arches. Jordan Post issued this commemorative set to promote the kingdom's tourism industry and celebrate its UNESCO World Heritage sites and archaeological treasures that attract visitors from around the world.

أصدر البريد الأردني في 3 أكتوبر 2010 مجموعة معالم سياحية التي تعرض التراث الأثري والتاريخي الغني في الأردن من خلال خمسة طوابع مميزة تضم مواقع سياحية أيقونية. تتألف هذه المجموعة من أربعة طوابع عادية تصور مواقع أثرية قديمة وبطاقة تذكارية واحدة تبرز الآثار الكلاسيكية في جرش. يعرض كل طابع أقواساً حجرية مثيرة وأنفاقاً وآثاراً تجسد حضارة الأردن الممتدة لآلاف السنين وجاذبيتها للزوار الدوليين. يظهر الطابع فئة 10 قروش العمارة المهيبة لقلعة عجلون، بينما يعرض طابع الـ 20 قرشاً البنى القديمة في عمان. يعرض طابع الـ 30 قرشاً ممرات قلعة الكرك التاريخية الداخلية، ويلتقط طابع الـ 40 قرشاً أجواء ممرات الشوبك الحجرية. تقدم البطاقة التذكارية فئة 50 قرشاً الآثار الرومانية الرائعة في جرش بأعمدتها وأقواسها المميزة.
