أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة التذكارية في 26 يونيو 1972 للاحتفال بالذكرى الخامسة والعشرين لتأسيس منظمة الأمم المتحدة، احتفالاً بربع قرن من التعاون الدولي وجهود حفظ السلام. تحمل الطوابع الخمسة تصميماً موحداً يعرض حمامة السلام وهي تحمل غصن الزيتون، رمزاً لرسالة الأمم المتحدة في تحقيق الوئام العالمي وحل النزاعات. يظهر على كل طابع شعار الأمم المتحدة بوضوح إلى جانب سنابل القمح الزخرفية التي ترمز للازدهار والوفرة الزراعية. طُبعت الطوابع بألوان مختلفة - البنفسجي والقرمزي والأزرق الداكن والأخضر والأحمر البرتقالي - مع المحافظة على نفس الرمزية في التصميم. يحدد النص العربي والإنجليزي الجهة المصدرة كـ"المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية" ويحتفل باليوبيل الفضي للأمم المتحدة. تعكس هذه الإصدارة التزام الأردن بالتعاون الدولي في إطار منظمة الأمم المتحدة ودعمه لمبادرات السلام العالمي.
