This commemorative set of three stamps was issued by the Government of Jordan on May 27, 1972, to mark the 25th anniversary of UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund), which was established in 1946. UNICEF was created in the aftermath of World War II to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries devastated by the war, and later expanded its mission to address children's needs worldwide. The stamps celebrate UNICEF's quarter-century of humanitarian work protecting children's rights and welfare globally. Each stamp depicts different aspects of child welfare and care that align with UNICEF's mission. The 10 fils stamp shows children at play alongside the distinctive UNICEF emblem featuring a mother and child surrounded by olive branches. The 20 fils stamp portrays a young child playing with educational building blocks, emphasizing the importance of early childhood development and learning. The 30 fils stamp presents a tender scene of a nurse holding an infant, highlighting healthcare and medical care for children. This philatelic tribute reflects Jordan's support for international humanitarian efforts and recognition of UNICEF's vital role in improving children's lives during its first 25 years of operation.
أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة التذكارية المؤلفة من ثلاثة طوابع في 27 مايو 1972، للاحتفال بالذكرى الخامسة والعشرين لتأسيس اليونيسف (منظمة الأمم المتحدة للطفولة)، التي تأسست عام 1946. أُنشئت اليونيسف في أعقاب الحرب العالمية الثانية لتوفير الغذاء والرعاية الصحية الطارئة للأطفال في البلدان المتضررة من الحرب، ثم وسعت مهمتها لاحقاً لتلبية احتياجات الأطفال في جميع أنحاء العالم. تحتفل الطوابع بربع قرن من العمل الإنساني لليونيسف في حماية حقوق الأطفال ورفاهيتهم عالمياً. يصور كل طابع جوانب مختلفة من رعاية الطفل التي تتماشى مع مهمة اليونيسف. يُظهر طابع العشرة فلوس أطفالاً يلعبون إلى جانب شعار اليونيسف المميز الذي يصور أماً وطفلاً محاطين بأغصان الزيتون. يُصور طابع العشرين فلساً طفلاً صغيراً يلعب بمكعبات البناء التعليمية، مؤكداً على أهمية تنمية الطفولة المبكرة والتعلم. يعرض طابع الثلاثين فلساً مشهداً رقيقاً لممرضة تحمل رضيعاً، مسلطاً الضوء على الرعاية الصحية والطبية للأطفال.
