Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

The stamps feature the Jordanian flag prominently and include both Arabic and English text identifying the kingdom. تحتفل هذه المجموعة التذكارية المؤلفة من ثلاثة طوابع، والتي أصدرتها الحكومة الأردنية في 20 أغسطس 1978، بالزيارات الدبلوماسية للقادة العرب إلى المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية. تُوثق هذه المجموعة اللقاءات المهمة بين الملك حسين والقادة العرب البارزين خلال فترة الدبلوماسية الإقليمية المهمة في أواخر السبعينيات. يصور كل طابع من فئة 40 فلساً الملك حسين في لقاءات دبلوماسية رسمية: لقاء مع الرئيس المصري أنور السادات في مصافحة وقوف، ومحادثة مع الرئيس السوري حافظ الأسد أثناء الجلوس على الأريكة، وتحية الملك السعودي خالد بن عبد العزيز بالزي العربي التقليدي. مثّلت هذه الزيارات لحظات حاسمة في العلاقات العربية البينية خلال فترة تحولية في سياسات الشرق الأوسط، خاصة بعد عملية السلام المصرية الإسرائيلية التي بدأت باتفاقيات كامب ديفيد.
