Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

Issued by the Government of Jordan through the Ministry of Post & Communications on April 7, 1992, this two-stamp set commemorated World Health Day with a focus on cardiovascular health under the theme "Healthy Hearts." The 1992 World Health Day campaign, coordinated by the World Health Organization, emphasized the importance of heart health and cardiovascular disease prevention globally. Jordan's participation reflected the kingdom's commitment to public health awareness and its alignment with international health initiatives. The stamps visually convey the message of heart health through symbolic imagery combining human figures, hearts, and medical elements. The 80 fils stamp depicts the balance between genders in health awareness, while the 125 fils stamp incorporates medical monitoring imagery with the Jordanian flag, emphasizing the nation's commitment to cardiac health. This issue represents Jordan's continued participation in WHO-sponsored health awareness campaigns during the early 1990s, when cardiovascular disease was emerging as a major global health concern requiring public education and prevention efforts.

أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية من خلال وزارة البريد والاتصالات في السابع من أبريل عام 1992 هذه المجموعة المكونة من طابعين احتفالاً باليوم العالمي للصحة مع التركيز على صحة القلب والأوعية الدموية تحت شعار "القلوب الصحية". جاءت حملة اليوم العالمي للصحة لعام 1992، التي نسقتها منظمة الصحة العالمية، لتؤكد على أهمية صحة القلب والوقاية من أمراض القلب والأوعية الدموية عالمياً. تعكس مشاركة الأردن التزام المملكة بالتوعية الصحية العامة وتماشيها مع المبادرات الصحية الدولية. تنقل الطوابع رسالة صحة القلب بصرياً من خلال صور رمزية تجمع بين الأشكال البشرية والقلوب والعناصر الطبية. يصور طابع الـ 80 فلساً التوازن بين الجنسين في التوعية الصحية، بينما يتضمن طابع الـ 125 فلساً صور المراقبة الطبية مع العلم الأردني، مؤكداً التزام الأمة بصحة القلب.
