This commemorative set marks the first anniversary of President John F. Kennedy's assassination, issued by the Government of Jordan through its Ministry of Post & Communications on June 1, 1965. The set comprises four stamps and one souvenir sheet, plus four imperforate variant records. Each stamp features a portrait of President Kennedy in profile, set within a diamond-shaped frame against colorful backgrounds. The design incorporates both English and Arabic text, with "The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan" prominently displayed alongside the Arabic equivalent. Kennedy's assassination on November 22, 1963, sent shockwaves around the world, and many nations issued commemorative stamps to honor the slain American president. Jordan's tribute reflects the strong diplomatic ties between the two countries and King Hussein's personal respect for Kennedy. The stamps showcase Kennedy's youthful profile, capturing the charismatic leader who had championed civil rights and space exploration. تحتفل هذه المجموعة التذكارية بالذكرى الأولى لاغتيال الرئيس جون ف. كندي، وأصدرتها الحكومة الأردنية عبر وزارة البريد والاتصالات في الأول من حزيران 1965. تضم المجموعة أربعة طوابع وبطاقة تذكارية واحدة، بالإضافة إلى أربعة إصدارات متنوعة غير مثقوبة. يحمل كل طابع صورة شخصية للرئيس كندي من الجانب، موضوعة في إطار على شكل معين على خلفيات ملونة. يتضمن التصميم نصوصاً باللغتين الإنجليزية والعربية، مع عرض "المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية" بوضوح إلى جانب المكافئ العربي. أرسل اغتيال كندي في 22 تشرين الثاني 1963 موجات صدمة حول العالم، وأصدرت العديد من الدول طوابع تذكارية لتكريم الرئيس الأمريكي المقتول. تعكس تحية الأردن العلاقات الدبلوماسية القوية بين البلدين واحترام الملك حسين الشخصي لكندي. تُظهر الطوابع ملامح كندي الشابة، وتلتقط صورة القائد الكاريزمي الذي دافع عن الحقوق المدنية واستكشاف الفضاء.
