Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

This commemorative set of two stamps was issued by the Government of Jordan on August 10, 1968, to mark the 20th Anniversary of the World Health Organization. The stamps are printed in vibrant multicolored designs with orange borders, featuring both English and Arabic text identifying the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة التذكارية المكونة من طابعين في 10 أغسطس 1968 للاحتفال بالذكرى العشرين لمنظمة الصحة العالمية. تأسست منظمة الصحة العالمية في 7 أبريل 1948، مما جعل عام 1968 عاماً مهماً لهذه المنظمة الصحية الدولية. يحمل كلا الطابعين شعار منظمة الصحة العالمية المميز - عصا أسكليبيوس (العصا الملتفة بالأفعى) فوق رمز الكرة الأرضية للأمم المتحدة، محاطة بأغصان الزيتون التي ترمز للسلام. يؤكد الرقم الكبير "20" على الذكرى السنوية المحتفل بها. تعكس هذه الإصدارة التزام الأردن بالتعاون الدولي في المسائل الصحية واعترافه بالدور الحيوي لمنظمة الصحة العالمية في المبادرات الصحية العالمية. طُبعت الطوابع بتصاميم ملونة زاهية مع حدود برتقالية، وتحمل نصوصاً باللغتين الإنجليزية والعربية تحدد المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية.
