This commemorative set was issued by the Government of Jordan on July 16, 1963, to mark Arab League Week and celebrate pan-Arab unity. The two stamps feature identical designs showcasing the Arab League's headquarters building in Cairo alongside the organization's distinctive emblem, which displays Arabic calligraphy surrounded by a decorative wreath. A portrait of a prominent Arab leader appears in the upper right corner of each stamp. The Arab League, formally established in 1945, served as a crucial platform for Arab cooperation and solidarity during the 1960s, a period of significant political developments in the Middle East. The architectural depiction of the League's Cairo headquarters emphasizes the organization's institutional presence and permanence in the Arab world. The stamps' bilingual inscriptions in Arabic and English reflect Jordan's international orientation under the Hashemite Kingdom. The set was issued in two denominations - 15 fils in deep greenish blue and 35 fils in orange red - with both perforated and imperforate varieties produced. أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة التذكارية في 16 يوليو 1963 بمناسبة أسبوع الدعوة العربية والاحتفال بالوحدة العربية. يحمل الطابعان تصميماً متطابقاً يعرض مبنى مقر جامعة الدول العربية في القاهرة إلى جانب شعار المنظمة المميز الذي يضم خطاً عربياً محاطاً بإكليل زخرفي. تظهر صورة لأحد القادة العرب البارزين في الزاوية اليمنى العلوية من كل طابع. شكلت جامعة الدول العربية، التي تأسست رسمياً عام 1945، منصة حاسمة للتعاون والتضامن العربي خلال الستينيات، وهي فترة شهدت تطورات سياسية مهمة في الشرق الأوسط. يؤكد التصوير المعماري لمقر الجامعة في القاهرة على الوجود المؤسسي والدائم للمنظمة في العالم العربي. تعكس النقوش ثنائية اللغة بالعربية والإنجليزية التوجه الدولي للأردن في ظل المملكة الهاشمية. أصدرت المجموعة بفئتين - 15 فلساً بالأزرق المخضر الداكن و35 فلساً بالأحمر البرتقالي - مع إنتاج نسخ مثقبة وغير مثقبة.
