تحتفل هذه المجموعة التذكارية بالذكرى الأولى لزيارة قداسة البابا بولس السادس التاريخية للأماكن المقدسة في يناير 1964، وهي زيارة دينية بارزة عززت الحوار بين المسيحية والإسلام. أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية من خلال وزارة البريد والاتصالات هذه المجموعة في 22 يونيو 1965، وتتكون من 4 طوابع وبطاقة تذكارية واحدة، مع إنتاج نسخ غير مسننة أيضاً. يحمل كل تصميم صورتين مزدوجتين لقداسة البابا بولس السادس وجلالة الملك الحسين، رمزاً للتعاون بين الفاتيكان والمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية خلال هذه الرحلة الدينية المهمة. تصور الصورة المركزية أفق القدس الشهير الذي تهيمن عليه قبة الصخرة الذهبية، مؤكدة على الأهمية المقدسة للمدينة لدى الأديان المتعددة. مثلت زيارة البابا لحظة محورية في العلاقات الدينية الحديثة وسلطت الضوء على دور الأردن كحارس للمقدسات الإسلامية والمسيحية في القدس والأراضي المقدسة.
