Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

This commemorative set of two stamps was issued by the Government of Jordan on April 7, 1967, to mark the inauguration of the new World Health Organization headquarters building in Geneva, Switzerland. The WHO had been operating from temporary facilities since its establishment in 1948, and the completion of its permanent headquarters represented a significant milestone for global health cooperation. Both stamps feature an identical architectural illustration of the modernist WHO building complex, shown in an isometric perspective that highlights the main secretariat tower and surrounding structures. The stamps were issued in two denominations - 5 fils in green tones and 45 fils in orange tones - making them accessible to different postal rates. أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة التذكارية المكونة من طابعين في 7 نيسان 1967 للاحتفال بافتتاح مبنى المقر الجديد لمنظمة الصحة العالمية في جنيف بسويسرا. كانت منظمة الصحة العالمية تعمل من مرافق مؤقتة منذ تأسيسها عام 1948، وشكل إنجاز مقرها الدائم معلماً مهماً للتعاون الصحي العالمي. يحمل كلا الطابعين رسماً معمارياً متطابقاً لمجمع مبنى منظمة الصحة العالمية الحديث، معروض بمنظور متساوي القياس يبرز البرج الرئيسي للأمانة العامة والهياكل المحيطة. يؤكد التصميم على الخطوط النظيفة والعمارة المعاصرة للمبنى، رامزاً إلى التقدم والتعاون الدولي في المجالات الصحية. أُصدر الطابعان بفئتين مختلفتين - 5 فلوس بألوان خضراء و45 فلساً بألوان برتقالية - لتناسب أسعار بريدية مختلفة. يتضمن كل طابع نصوصاً عربية وإنجليزية تحدد الموضوع، إلى جانب شعار منظمة الصحة العالمية الذي يضم عصا أسكليبيوس محاطة بأغصان الزيتون.
