This commemorative set of four stamps, issued by the Government of Jordan in July 2002, showcases the work of prominent Jordanian painters, highlighting the kingdom's vibrant contemporary art scene. The set features paintings by four distinguished artists: Rafiq Laham's architectural composition on the 100 fils value, Mahmoud Taha's abstract work on the 150 fils, Mohanna Durra's portrait of a woman on the 200 fils, and Princess Wijdan Ali's landscape depicting a hilltop castle on the 300 fils denomination. Each stamp reproduces the original artwork in full color, providing collectors and art enthusiasts with miniature galleries of modern Jordanian artistic expression. The issue represents Jordan's commitment to promoting its cultural heritage and recognizing the contributions of local artists to the Arab world's artistic landscape. The stamps were printed by the Post Office Foundation Press in Karachi, Pakistan, and measure 45x35mm each, with 50,000 copies printed of each denomination.
