This commemorative set of three stamps and one souvenir sheet celebrates migrating birds that pass through Jordan during their seasonal journeys. Issued by the Government of Jordan through its Ministry of Post & Communications in July 2002, this ornithological series highlights Jordan's role as an important waystation along the East African-West Asian flyway. The individual stamps feature detailed portraits of the Goldfinch (الحسون), Rufous Bush Robin (أبو الغنة الحمراء), and White Stork (اللقلق الأبيض). The accompanying souvenir sheet displays four additional species: Golden Oriole (الطائر الصفير), Goshawk (الباز), Ortolan Bunting (درسة الشعير), and Hoopoe (الهدهد). These birds represent the diverse avian life that traverses Jordan's varied ecosystems during migration periods, from the Jordan Valley to the eastern desert regions. تحتفل هذه المجموعة التذكارية المكونة من ثلاثة طوابع وبطاقة تذكارية واحدة بالطيور المهاجرة التي تمر عبر الأردن خلال رحلاتها الموسمية. أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية من خلال وزارة البريد والاتصالات هذه السلسلة الطيور في يوليو 2002، مسلطة الضوء على دور الأردن كمحطة مهمة على طريق الهجرة بين شرق أفريقيا وغرب آسيا. تعرض الطوابع الفردية صوراً تفصيلية للحسون وأبو الغنة الحمراء واللقلق الأبيض. تعرض البطاقة التذكارية المرافقة أربعة أنواع إضافية: الطائر الصفير والباز ودرسة الشعير والهدهد. تمثل هذه الطيور الحياة الطيور المتنوعة التي تعبر النظم البيئية المختلفة في الأردن خلال فترات الهجرة، من وادي الأردن إلى المناطق الصحراوية الشرقية. يعكس هذا الإصدار التزام الأردن بحفظ الحياة البرية والوعي البيئي، عارضاً التراث الطبيعي للمملكة وموقعها كممر حيوي لملايين الطيور المهاجرة التي تربط أوروبا وآسيا وأفريقيا.
