Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية من خلال وزارة البريد والاتصالات هذه المجموعة التذكارية المكونة من طابعين في 28 آذار 2000 للاحتفال بالذكرى الخمسين لتأسيس المنظمة العالمية للأرصاد الجوية. تأسست المنظمة العالمية للأرصاد الجوية عام 1950 كوكالة متخصصة تابعة للأمم المتحدة، وتلعب دوراً حيوياً في تنسيق المراقبة والأبحاث والخدمات المناخية الدولية. تعكس مشاركة الأردن في التعاون المناخي العالمي التزام المملكة بالتعاون العلمي الدولي ومراقبة البيئة. يحمل كلا الطابعين شعار الذكرى الخمسين للمنظمة إلى جانب صور للكرة الأرضية، مما يؤكد النطاق العالمي للمنظمة في التنبؤ بالطقس ومراقبة المناخ وأبحاث الغلاف الجوي. تُظهر الطوابع شعار المنظمة بتصميم الوردة البحرية المميز، رمزاً لشبكتها العالمية من محطات الأرصاد الجوية ودورها في تنسيق بيانات الطقس عبر الحدود الوطنية.
