In 2009, Jordan Post issued this commemorative set celebrating traditional Arabian coffee tools, featuring four stamps and a souvenir sheet. Arabian coffee preparation holds deep cultural significance in Jordan and throughout the Arabian Peninsula, representing hospitality, tradition, and social bonding. The set showcases essential implements used in the time-honored process of preparing qahwa (Arabic coffee), from roasting green coffee beans to serving the aromatic brew to guests. Each stamp highlights different tools: the mortar and pestle (mukhabasha and yad) for grinding roasted beans, traditional brass coffee pots (dallah) for brewing and serving, wooden bowls and roasting pans (mihmas) for preparing the beans, and small handleless cups (finjan) for serving. The designs bear the printed date 2008 though the stamps were issued in 2009. This philatelic tribute honors the UNESCO-recognized tradition of Arabic coffee culture, acknowledging its role as a symbol of generosity and social interaction that has been passed down through generations in Jordanian and broader Arab society.
أصدر البريد الأردني في عام ٢٠٠٩ هذه المجموعة التذكارية احتفالاً بأدوات القهوة العربية التقليدية، والتي تضم أربعة طوابع وبطاقة تذكارية. يحمل تحضير القهوة العربية أهمية ثقافية عميقة في الأردن وعبر شبه الجزيرة العربية، حيث ترمز إلى الضيافة والتقاليد والترابط الاجتماعي. تعرض المجموعة الأدوات الأساسية المستخدمة في العملية التراثية لتحضير القهوة العربية، من تحميص حبوب البن الأخضر إلى تقديم الشراب العطر للضيوف. يبرز كل طابع أدوات مختلفة: المطحنة والهاون لطحن الحبوب المحمصة، وأباريق القهوة النحاسية التقليدية للتخمير والتقديم، والأوعية الخشبية ومقالي التحميص لإعداد الحبوب، والأكواب الصغيرة بدون مقابض للتقديم. تحمل التصاميم تاريخ ٢٠٠٨ المطبوع رغم أن الطوابع صدرت في ٢٠٠٩.
