In 2000, the Government of Jordan through its Ministry of Post & Communications issued this tourism-themed stamp booklet showcasing six of Jordan's most iconic destinations. The set comprises six individual stamps featuring Petra, Jerash, Mount Nebo, the Dead Sea, Aqaba, and Wadi Rum, accompanied by three souvenir sheets containing pairs of these designs. Each stamp captures a distinctive aspect of Jordan's diverse tourism landscape, from ancient archaeological wonders to natural phenomena and modern resort destinations. The 50 fils stamp depicts Petra's famous Treasury facade carved into rose-red sandstone cliffs, while the 100 fils stamp shows the impressive Roman columns of Jerash's ancient ruins. Mount Nebo, significant as the biblical site where Moses viewed the Promised Land, appears on the 150 fils denomination featuring a modern church structure. The 200 fils stamp captures the unique experience of the Dead Sea with beach umbrellas silhouetted against a dramatic sunset sky. Aqaba's appeal as a Red Sea resort destination is illustrated on the 300 fils stamp showing water skiing activities, while the 400 fils stamp presents Wadi Rum's dramatic desert landscape with a traditional camel caravan traversing the red sand terrain.
