Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة التذكارية المكونة من طابعين في تشرين الأول 2000 بمناسبة انعقاد مؤتمر الاتحاد الدولي لحماية الطبيعة في عمان. يُعد الاتحاد الدولي لحماية الطبيعة، الذي تأسس عام 1948، أقدم وأكبر منظمة بيئية عالمية. إن استضافة الأردن لهذا المؤتمر المهم سلطت الضوء على التزام المملكة بحماية البيئة والتنمية المستدامة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط. يحمل كلا الطابعين نفس عناصر التصميم: شعار الاتحاد الدولي لحماية الطبيعة مع كرة أرضية مصممة بشكل فني تحتوي على ما يبدو أنه زهرة السوسن، رمزاً لجمال الطبيعة الرقيق الذي تسعى جهود الحماية للحفاظ عليه. جمع المؤتمر خبراء دوليين وصانعي سياسات ومختصين في الحماية البيئية لمعالجة التحديات البيئية الملحة ووضع استراتيجيات لحماية التنوع البيولوجي.
