أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية في السابع من آذار عام 2000 هذه المجموعة المكونة من ثلاثة طوابع احتفالاً بموقع بيلا (طبقة فحل) الأثري، أحد أهم المواقع الأثرية في الأردن وجزء من سلسلة 'مهد الحضارات'. يقع الموقع في وادي الأردن وقد استوطن لأكثر من 6000 سنة، مما يجعله من أقدم المجتمعات المستقرة في المنطقة. ازدهرت المدينة القديمة تحت حضارات مختلفة شملت الرومانية والبيزنطية والإسلامية المبكرة، وخدمت كمركز تجاري وزراعي مهم. تعرض الطوابع البقايا الأثرية الرائعة للموقع، وتتميز بالأعمدة المميزة والأسس القديمة والهياكل المدرجة التي تميز هذا المستوطنة التاريخية. كل طابع مؤطر بشكل جميل بحدود زخرفية تعكس الزخارف الفنية الإسلامية التقليدية. من خلال تسليط الضوء على كنوز بيلا الأثرية، تؤكد هذه المجموعة على دور الأردن كحارس للتراث المشترك للإنسانية.
