This commemorative set of five stamps celebrates the diverse fruit cultivation that flourishes in Jordan's varied climate zones. Issued by Jordan Post in 2008, the stamps showcase oranges, cherries, figs, pomegranates, and grapes - fruits that have been cultivated in the Levant for millennia and continue to be important agricultural products in modern Jordan. Each stamp features detailed botanical illustrations of the fruits with their leaves and branches, presented in a decorative frame design. The set reflects Jordan's agricultural heritage and the country's Mediterranean and semi-arid climate zones that support diverse fruit production. From the citrus groves of the Jordan Valley to the highland orchards, these fruits represent both traditional cultivation practices and modern agricultural development. The stamps were designed by Information Technology Planet and printed by Oriental Press in Bahrain, with each denomination featuring a different color scheme to complement the natural colors of the featured fruit.
