This commemorative set was issued by the Government of Jordan on November 25, 1980, to mark the 11th Arab Summit Conference held in Amman. The summit represented a significant diplomatic gathering of Arab League leaders during a turbulent period in Middle Eastern politics, with Jordan serving as host under King Hussein's leadership. The set comprises five stamps in different denominations (25, 40, 50, 75, and 100 fils) plus a souvenir sheet, all featuring the official conference emblem. The central design displays the Arab League symbol - a green circle containing Arabic calligraphy surrounded by olive branches and chain links, representing unity among Arab nations. Each stamp bears bilingual inscriptions in Arabic and English identifying the conference and host country. أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة التذكارية في 25 نوفمبر 1980 للاحتفال بمؤتمر القمة العربي الحادي عشر الذي عُقد في عمان. مثّل هذا المؤتمر تجمعاً دبلوماسياً مهماً لقادة جامعة الدول العربية خلال فترة مضطربة في سياسات الشرق الأوسط، حيث استضافته الأردن تحت قيادة الملك حسين. تتكون المجموعة من خمسة طوابع بفئات مختلفة (25 و40 و50 و75 و100 فلس) إضافة إلى بطاقة تذكارية، وجميعها تحمل شعار المؤتمر الرسمي. يعرض التصميم المركزي رمز جامعة الدول العربية - دائرة خضراء تحتوي على خط عربي محاطة بأغصان الزيتون وحلقات السلسلة، مما يمثل الوحدة بين الدول العربية. يحمل كل طابع نقوشاً ثنائية اللغة بالعربية والإنجليزية تحدد المؤتمر والدولة المضيفة. يعكس مخطط الألوان الأخضر والذهبي للشعار الألوان العربية التقليدية، بينما يرمز الشكل الدائري إلى وحدة واستمرارية التعاون العربي.
