Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

تحتفل هذه المجموعة التذكارية بالعيد الفضي للجامعة الأردنية، مكملة ربع قرن من التميز في التعليم العالي في المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية. أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذين الطابعين في عام 1987 تكريماً لهذه المؤسسة التي تأسست في عام 1962 كأول جامعة في الأردن وأصبحت منذ ذلك الحين حجر الزاوية في الإنجاز الأكاديمي في المنطقة. لعبت الجامعة دوراً حاسماً في تطوير القوى العاملة المتعلمة في الأردن وتطوير البحث عبر تخصصات متعددة. يعرض الطابع الأول شعار الجامعة الرسمي، مظهراً الرموز المؤسسية والشعارات التي تمثل مهمتها الأكاديمية وارتباطها بالتراث الأردني. يظهر الطابع الثاني مدخل الحرم الجامعي، مصوراً البوابة المعمارية التي رحبت بأجيال من الطلاب لمتابعة التعليم العالي. يعترف احتفال العيد الفضي هذا ليس فقط بنمو الجامعة وإنجازاتها ولكن أيضاً بمساهمتها في تطوير الأردن كدولة حديثة من خلال التعليم والمنح الدراسية.
