Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة التذكارية المكونة من ثلاثة طوابع وبطاقة تذكارية واحدة في عام ١٩٨٦ بمناسبة الذكرى الأربعين لتأسيس الأمم المتحدة، وتحمل مقتطفات من خطاب الملك الحسين أمام الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في ٢٧ سبتمبر ١٩٨٥. تعرض الطوابع أجزاء من خطاب الملك باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية، مما يعكس دعوته لتجديد جهود الأمم المتحدة لتحقيق الانسحاب الإسرائيلي واستعادة السلام في الشرق الأوسط. يعرض الطابعان الأولان النص العربي للخطاب على خلفيتين صفراء وخضراء على التوالي، بينما يقدم الطابع الثالث الترجمة الإنجليزية على خلفية وردية. تجمع البطاقة التذكارية بين اللغتين وتتضمن صورة فوتوغرافية للملك الحسين وهو يلقي خطابه على منصة الأمم المتحدة. تمثل هذه الإصدارة المشاركة الدبلوماسية الأردنية في جهود حفظ السلام الدولية ودور الملك الحسين كصوت معتدل في الشؤون الشرق أوسطية.
