This commemorative set celebrates the Festival of the Arabian Horse, issued by the Government of Jordan in November 1989. The Arabian horse holds deep cultural significance in Jordan and the broader Arab world, representing heritage, nobility, and the Bedouin traditions that form part of Jordan's cultural foundation. The set comprises three stamps and one souvenir sheet, each showcasing different aspects of these magnificent animals. The 5 fils stamp features a standing horse in a paddock alongside the emblem of the royal stables, highlighting the institutional support for Arabian horse breeding in Jordan. The 40 fils stamp dramatically combines a rearing white horse with the iconic Treasury (Al-Khazneh) at Petra, linking Jordan's equestrian heritage with its most famous archaeological site. The 60 fils stamp presents an artistic close-up portrait of an Arabian horse's head, emphasizing the breed's distinctive features. The souvenir sheet depicts a mare with her foal, symbolizing the continuity and preservation of the bloodline. تحتفل هذه المجموعة التذكارية بمهرجان الجواد العربي، وأصدرتها الحكومة الأردنية في نوفمبر ١٩٨٩. يحمل الجواد العربي أهمية ثقافية عميقة في الأردن والعالم العربي الأوسع، حيث يمثل التراث والنبل والتقاليد البدوية التي تشكل جزءاً من الأساس الثقافي الأردني. تتكون المجموعة من ثلاثة طوابع وبطاقة تذكارية واحدة، يعرض كل منها جوانب مختلفة من هذه الحيوانات الرائعة. يُظهر طابع الخمسة فلوس جواداً واقفاً في المرعى إلى جانب شعار الإسطبلات الملكية، مما يسلط الضوء على الدعم المؤسسي لتربية الجياد العربية في الأردن. يجمع طابع الأربعين فلساً بشكل درامي بين جواد أبيض نافر وخزنة البتراء الشهيرة، رابطاً التراث الأردني الخيلي بأشهر المواقع الأثرية. يقدم طابع الستين فلساً صورة فنية مقربة لرأس جواد عربي، مؤكداً على الخصائص المميزة للسلالة. تصور البطاقة التذكارية فرساً مع مهرها، رمزاً لاستمرارية وحفظ السلالة.
