Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة التذكارية المكونة من طابعين في 8 فبراير 1986، للاحتفال بالذكرى الأولى لإطلاق القمر الصناعي العربسات الأول، أول قمر صناعي للاتصالات في العالم العربي. أُطلق القمر الصناعي العربسات الأول في 8 فبراير 1985، مما يمثل إنجازاً مهماً في التعاون التكنولوجي العربي والبنية التحتية للاتصالات الإقليمية. كان القمر الصناعي جزءاً من مشروع المنظمة العربية للاتصالات الفضائية الطموح لتوفير خدمات الاتصالات والبث ونقل البيانات عبر المنطقة العربية. يصور الطابع الأول القمر الصناعي وهو يحوم في الفضاء بين الكواكب والأجرام السماوية، مؤكداً على الإنجاز التكنولوجي لاستكشاف الفضاء العربي. يُظهر الطابع الثاني القمر الصناعي موضوعاً فوق خريطة مفصلة للبلدان العربية، مما يوضح منطقة تغطيته ومهمته لخدمة العالم العربي بأكمله.
