Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

This commemorative set of three stamps was issued by the Government of Jordan through its Ministry of Post & Communications on November 3, 1997, to mark the 53rd Annual General Meeting of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) held in Amman, Jordan. The meeting brought together representatives from airlines worldwide to discuss industry standards, safety protocols, and international aviation cooperation. Each stamp in the set features the official meeting emblem, which incorporates the IATA logo with its distinctive winged globe symbol alongside the Jordanian royal crown, symbolizing Jordan's role as host nation. The emblem appears against an elegant curved design with 'Amman 53rd AGM 1997' prominently displayed. The stamps were issued in different denominations (100, 200, and 300 fils) with varying background colors to create a cohesive yet distinct series. أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية من خلال وزارة البريد والاتصالات هذه المجموعة التذكارية المكونة من ثلاثة طوابع في 3 نوفمبر 1997 بمناسبة المؤتمر العام الثالث والخمسين لمنظمة النقل الجوي الدولي (إياتا) الذي عُقد في عمان، الأردن. جمع المؤتمر ممثلين من شركات الطيران حول العالم لمناقشة معايير الصناعة وبروتوكولات السلامة والتعاون الدولي في مجال الطيران. يحمل كل طابع في المجموعة الشعار الرسمي للمؤتمر الذي يجمع بين شعار إياتا المميز بالكرة الأرضية المجنحة إلى جانب التاج الملكي الأردني، رمزاً لدور الأردن كدولة مضيفة. يظهر الشعار على خلفية منحنية أنيقة مع عبارة 'عمان المؤتمر العام الثالث والخمسون 1997' بشكل بارز. صدرت الطوابع بفئات مختلفة (100 و200 و300 فلس) بألوان خلفية متنوعة لتشكل سلسلة متماسكة ومتميزة. تعكس هذه الإصدارة الأهمية المتزايدة للأردن كمركز طيران إقليمي والتزامه بالتعاون الدولي في الطيران المدني.
