This commemorative set of three stamps was issued by the Government of Jordan through its Ministry of Post & Communications on October 16, 1995, to mark the 50th anniversary of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. The 160 fils stamp combines the UN emblem with the commemorative "50" and FAO logo, emphasizing the organizational relationship between the United Nations and its food and agriculture agency. أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية من خلال وزارة البريد والاتصالات هذه المجموعة التذكارية المكونة من ثلاثة طوابع في 16 أكتوبر 1995 للاحتفال بالذكرى الخمسين لتأسيس منظمة الأغذية والزراعة التابعة للأمم المتحدة. تأسست منظمة الأغذية والزراعة عام 1945 كوكالة متخصصة تابعة للأمم المتحدة تهدف إلى القضاء على الجوع وتحسين التغذية والأمن الغذائي عالمياً. يحمل الطابع فئة 80 فلساً أوراقاً منمقة مع شعاري الأمم المتحدة ومنظمة الأغذية والزراعة، بينما يعرض طابع 125 فلساً سنابل القمح مدمجة مع الرقم "50" المنمق وشعار المنظمة. أما طابع 160 فلساً فيجمع بين شعار الأمم المتحدة والرقم التذكاري "50" مع شعار منظمة الأغذية والزراعة. تعكس هذه المجموعة الطوابعية التزام الأردن بالتعاون الدولي في مواجهة تحديات الأمن الغذائي العالمي ودعمه للمنظمات متعددة الأطراف التي تعمل من أجل التنمية الزراعية المستدامة.
