This definitive stamp set issued by the Government of Jordan through its Ministry of Post & Communications features Hadrian's Arch (Arch of Triumph) in the ancient Roman city of Jerash. The nine stamps showcase this magnificent triumphal arch, one of Jordan's most significant archaeological landmarks and a centerpiece of the remarkably preserved Greco-Roman city of Gerasa. Built during the reign of Roman Emperor Hadrian in 129 AD to commemorate his visit to the city, the arch stands as a testament to Jordan's rich classical heritage. Each stamp depicts the imposing three-arched gateway with its distinctive architectural details rendered in brown tones against different colored backgrounds ranging from cobalt blue to olive yellow. The design bears the date 1992 (1413 AH) although the stamps were issued in 1993. تعرض هذه المجموعة التخليصية التي أصدرتها الحكومة الأردنية عبر وزارة البريد والاتصالات قوس هادريان (قوس النصر) في مدينة جرش الرومانية القديمة. تُظهر الطوابع التسعة هذا القوس النصري العظيم، أحد أهم المعالم الأثرية في الأردن ونقطة محورية في المدينة اليونانية الرومانية المحفوظة بشكل رائع والمعروفة باسم جراسا. بُني القوس خلال عهد الإمبراطور الروماني هادريان عام 129 ميلادية لإحياء ذكرى زيارته للمدينة، ويقف شاهداً على التراث الكلاسيكي الغني للأردن. يصور كل طابع البوابة المهيبة ذات الأقواس الثلاثة بتفاصيلها المعمارية المميزة المرسومة بالألوان البنية على خلفيات ملونة متنوعة. يحمل التصميم تاريخ 1992 (1413 هجرية) رغم أن الطوابع صدرت عام 1993. خدمت هذه السلسلة التخليصية الاحتياجات البريدية اليومية للأردن مع الترويج لكنوزه الأثرية ومواقع التراث العالمي.
