أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة التذكارية المكونة من ثلاثة طوابع في 22 أبريل 1990 لتسليط الضوء على التراث الطبيعي للمملكة وتعزيز الوعي بحماية البيئة. تعرض هذه الطوابع النظم البيئية المتنوعة والحياة البرية في الأردن، مؤكدة التزام المملكة بالحفاظ على بيئتها الطبيعية. يصور الطابع فئة 40 فلساً الحمير البرية عند واحة، ممثلاً الحياة البرية المهددة بالانقراض في صحراء الأردن التي كانت تجوب بحرية عبر شبه الجزيرة العربية. يظهر الطابع فئة 60 فلساً التكوينات الصخرية المذهلة في وادي رم، وادي الأردن الصحراوي المذهل المعروف بجباله الرملية الشاهقة وتشكيلاته الجيولوجية الفريدة. يعرض الطابع فئة 80 فلساً أشجار النخيل الصحراوية، رمزاً للحياة والصمود في المناظر الطبيعية القاحلة في الأردن.
