This commemorative set of three stamps was issued by the Government of Jordan in September 1995 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Arab League, founded in 1945. The Arab League, officially known as the League of Arab States, was established in Cairo to promote cooperation and coordination among Arab nations in political, economic, and cultural affairs. Jordan was among the founding members alongside Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen. The stamps feature a consistent design showcasing the distinctive Arab League emblem - a circular green logo with Arabic calligraphy surrounded by a golden chain - positioned above a stylized map of the Arab world rendered in brick-like segments. The map is framed by olive branches symbolizing peace, with the commemorative dates 1945-1995 displayed below. Each stamp in the set uses a different background color (green, pink, and grey) while maintaining the same symbolic elements, reflecting Jordan's commitment to Arab unity and regional cooperation during this significant milestone anniversary.
أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة التذكارية المكونة من ثلاثة طوابع في سبتمبر 1995 للاحتفال بالذكرى الخمسين لتأسيس جامعة الدول العربية عام 1945. تأسست الجامعة العربية رسمياً في القاهرة لتعزيز التعاون والتنسيق بين الدول العربية في الشؤون السياسية والاقتصادية والثقافية. كان الأردن من بين الأعضاء المؤسسين إلى جانب مصر وسوريا ولبنان والعراق والمملكة العربية السعودية واليمن. تحمل الطوابع تصميماً موحداً يعرض شعار جامعة الدول العربية المميز - الشعار الأخضر الدائري بالخط العربي المحاط بسلسلة ذهبية - موضوعاً فوق خريطة مُبسطة للعالم العربي مُقدمة بقطع تشبه الطوب. تحيط بالخريطة أغصان الزيتون رمزاً للسلام، مع عرض التواريخ التذكارية 1945-1995 أسفلها.
