Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة المؤلفة من طابعين في 23 أكتوبر 1993 إحياءً لليوم العالمي للعصا البيضاء، وهو مناسبة دولية مخصصة لزيادة الوعي حول العمى وضعف البصر. يُحتفل باليوم العالمي للعصا البيضاء عادة في 15 أكتوبر، ويعترف بالعصا البيضاء كأداة تنقل ورمز للاستقلالية لمجتمع المكفوفين وضعاف البصر. يحمل الطابع فئة 80 فلساً رموزاً تجمع بين العيون وشمعة مضاءة والعصا البيضاء المميزة، ممثلة الرؤية والأمل ومساعدة التنقل. يصور الطابع فئة 125 فلساً كرة أرضية محاطة بأشعة شمس مشعة موضوعة فوق عصا بيضاء وعين، مرمزة للوعي العالمي والطبيعة العالمية لتحديات الرؤية. يؤكد كلا الطابعين على أهمية إمكانية الوصول والاستقلالية والتضامن الدولي في دعم الأفراد ذوي الإعاقات البصرية.
