Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

Both stamps feature the distinctive Expo '92 logo with its stylized globe and the exposition's official emblem, along with decorative Arabic calligraphy elements that reflect Jordan's cultural heritage. تحتفل هذه المجموعة التذكارية بمشاركة الأردن في معرض إكسبو 1992، المعرض العالمي الذي أقيم في إشبيلية، إسبانيا من أبريل إلى أكتوبر 1992. أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية من خلال وزارة البريد والاتصالات هذين الطابعين في 20 فبراير 1992، احتفالاً بهذا المعرض الدولي المهم الذي صادف الذكرى الخمسمئة لرحلة كريستوفر كولومبوس إلى الأمريكتين. كان إكسبو 1992 من أكبر المعارض العالمية في القرن العشرين، حيث جذب أكثر من 41 مليون زائر وضم أجنحة من 108 دولة. مثّلت مشاركة الأردن التزام المملكة بالتعاون الدولي والتبادل الثقافي خلال فترة التحديث السريع في عهد الملك حسين. يحمل كلا الطابعين شعار إكسبو 1992 المميز مع الكرة الأرضية المنمقة وعناصر الخط العربي الزخرفية التي تعكس التراث الثقافي الأردني.
