The 100 fils stamp depicts the timeless desert scene of Wadi Rum with its characteristic sandstone mountains and Bedouin camel caravans. The 200 and 300 fils stamps highlight Aqaba's rich architectural heritage, showing historic Islamic buildings and fortifications that reflect the city's strategic importance as Jordan's only seaport and gateway to the Red Sea. تحتفل هذه المجموعة التذكارية المؤلفة من ثلاثة طوابع بالتراث الأردني الجنوبي تحت عنوان 'مهد الحضارات'، مركزة على مدينة العقبة الساحلية التاريخية والمناظر الطبيعية الصحراوية الخلابة في وادي رم. أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة من خلال وزارة البريد والاتصالات في 31 أكتوبر 1999، وتعرض هذه المواقع المدرجة على قائمة التراث العالمي لليونسكو والتي كانت نقاط تقاطع طرق التجارة القديمة والحضارات لآلاف السنين. تتميز الطوابع بإطارات زخرفية إسلامية تقليدية تحيط بصور فوتوغرافية لهذه المواقع الأثرية المميزة. يصور الطابع فئة 100 فلس المشهد الصحراوي الخالد في وادي رم بجباله الرملية المميزة وقوافل الجمال البدوية. يسلط طابعا فئتي 200 و300 فلس الضوء على التراث المعماري الغني للعقبة، عارضين المباني الإسلامية التاريخية والتحصينات التي تعكس الأهمية الاستراتيجية للمدينة كميناء الأردن الوحيد وبوابته إلى البحر الأحمر.
