Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة التذكارية المكونة من ثلاثة طوابع في 25 أكتوبر 1994 للاحتفال بالذكرى الخمسين لإنشاء منظمة الطيران المدني الدولي (الإيكاو). تأسست منظمة الإيكاو عام 1944 من خلال اتفاقية شيكاغو، وهي الوكالة المتخصصة للأمم المتحدة المسؤولة عن معايير ولوائح الطيران المدني الدولي. يعرض كل طابع تكويناً ديناميكياً يُظهر تطور الطيران، مع طائرات المراوح القديمة جنباً إلى جنب مع الطائرات النفاثة الحديثة، رمزاً لخمسة عقود من التقدم في مجال الطيران. يعرض شعار الإيكاو المركزي الكرة الأرضية المجنحة المميزة للمنظمة مع التواريخ التذكارية 1944-1994 والرقم 50. تُظهر الطوابع التزام الأردن بالتعاون الدولي في مجال الطيران وتقدر الدور الحيوي للإيكاو في وضع معايير السلامة الجوية العالمية وإجراءات الملاحة الجوية وتسهيل النقل الجوي الدولي.
