Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

تحتفل هذه المجموعة التذكارية المكونة من ثلاثة طوابع، التي أصدرتها الحكومة الأردنية في ديسمبر 1999، بموقع المغطس في بيت عنيا عبر الأردن، المعترف به كالمكان الذي تعمّد فيه السيد المسيح على يد يوحنا المعمدان. يحمل الموقع أهمية دينية عميقة للمسيحية ويمثل اكتشافاً أثرياً مهماً في المشهد التاريخي الغني للأردن. تعرض الطوابع جوانب مختلفة من هذا الموقع المقدس: البيئة الطبيعية مع القصب النامي عند ضفاف نهر الأردن، ومنظور جوي يكشف التعقيد الأثري للموقع، والحفريات الجارية التي كشفت عن هياكل وقطع أثرية قديمة. كان هذا الإصدار جزءاً من سلسلة 'مهد الحضارات' الأوسع في الأردن، مؤكداً على دور المملكة كحارسة للمواقع التوراتية والتاريخية المهمة.
