This definitive stamp set issued by the Government of Jordan in March 1994 showcases Hadrian's Arch (the Arch of Triumph) in Jerash, one of Jordan's most significant Roman archaeological sites. The set comprises eight stamps featuring the same iconic triumphal arch design across different denominations and color variations. Built in 129 CE to honor Emperor Hadrian's visit to the ancient city of Gerasa, this magnificent three-arched gateway stands as a testament to the Roman Empire's architectural legacy in the region. The stamps display the well-preserved ruins of the arch against various colored backgrounds, with denominations ranging from 40 fils to 320 fils. Interestingly, the stamps bear different printed dates - some showing 1993/1414 AH and others 1994/1415 AH - reflecting the dual Gregorian and Islamic calendar system. تعرض هذه المجموعة النهائية التي أصدرتها الحكومة الأردنية في آذار 1994 قوس هادريان (قوس النصر) في جرش، أحد أهم المواقع الأثرية الرومانية في الأردن. تضم المجموعة ثمانية طوابع تحمل نفس تصميم القوس الانتصاري المميز عبر فئات وألوان مختلفة. شُيد هذا القوس عام 129 ميلادية تكريماً لزيارة الإمبراطور هادريان للمدينة القديمة جراسا، ويقف كشاهد على الإرث المعماري للإمبراطورية الرومانية في المنطقة. تُظهر الطوابع أطلال القوس المحفوظة جيداً على خلفيات ملونة متنوعة، بفئات تتراوح من 40 فلساً إلى 320 فلساً. تحمل الطوابع تواريخ مطبوعة مختلفة - بعضها يُظهر 1993/1414 هجرية وأخرى 1994/1415 هجرية. خدمت هذه السلسلة النهائية الاحتياجات البريدية العملية مع تعزيز التراث الأثري الأردني الغني وموقع جرش المدرج على لائحة التراث العالمي لليونسكو.
