أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة المكونة من ثلاثة طوابع عام 1991 لتعزيز ترشيد استهلاك الطاقة كأولوية وطنية. صدرت الطوابع خلال فترة الوعي البيئي العالمي وارتفاع تكاليف الطاقة، وأكدت على أهمية الاستخدام الرشيد للطاقة في الحياة اليومية. يعرض الطابع من فئة 5 فلسات مصابيح كهربائية مُبسطة تمثل الاستخدام الفعال للكهرباء، بينما يحتفل طابع 40 فلس بالطاقة الشمسية كبديل متجدد مع صور الشمس والألواح الشمسية. يصور طابع 80 فلس مصباح مكتب بجانب نافذة، رمزاً للاستخدام الذكي للإضاءة الاصطناعية والطبيعية معاً. تحمل الطوابع نصوصاً ثنائية اللغة تنص على 'ترشيد الطاقة: ضرورة وطنية' بالعربية والإنجليزية.
