تحتفل هذه المجموعة التذكارية المكونة من ثلاثة طوابع، والتي أصدرتها الحكومة الأردنية عام 1993، بالذكرى الثمانمائة لوفاة صلاح الدين الأيوبي، أحد أبرز الشخصيات في التاريخ الإسلامي والعربي. توفي صلاح الدين عام 1193، وكان القائد المسلم الكردي الذي استعاد القدس من الصليبيين عام 1187 وأسس الدولة الأيوبية. تعرض الطوابع صورة لصلاح الدين يرتدي عمامته المميزة وأرديته، إلى جانب عناصر معمارية تمثل القدس، بما في ذلك قبة الصخرة الشهيرة وظلال مساجد متنوعة. يربط التصميم رمزياً بين إرث صلاح الدين وتحرير القدس والتراث المعماري الإسلامي الأوسع للمدينة المقدسة. تعرض كل فئة نفس عناصر التصميم الأساسية على خلفيات ملونة مختلفة - الأزرق والرمادي والأصفر على التوالي. يؤكد النص العربي على الطوابع لقب صلاح الدين كقائد عسكري عظيم ودوره في التاريخ الإسلامي.
