Stamps of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

This commemorative set of 4 stamps and 1 souvenir sheet was issued by the Government of Jordan on August 11, 1992, to mark the 40th anniversary of King Hussein's accession to the throne. King Hussein bin Talal ascended to the throne on August 11, 1952, following the abdication of his father King Talal due to illness. The anniversary celebrated four decades of Hussein's reign, during which he navigated Jordan through numerous regional conflicts and transformations while modernizing the kingdom. أصدرت الحكومة الأردنية هذه المجموعة التذكارية المكونة من 4 طوابع وبطاقة تذكارية واحدة في 11 أغسطس 1992 للاحتفال بالذكرى الأربعين لجلوس الملك حسين على العرش. اعتلى الملك حسين بن طلال العرش في 11 أغسطس 1952 بعد تنازل والده الملك طلال بسبب المرض. احتفلت هذه الذكرى بأربعة عقود من حكم الحسين، والتي قاد خلالها الأردن عبر صراعات وتحولات إقليمية عديدة مع تحديث المملكة. تحمل الطوابع صوراً مختلفة للملك حسين في الزي العسكري الرسمي والملابس المدنية، إلى جانب الرموز الوطنية بما في ذلك العلم الأردني والتاج الملكي والشعارات التذكارية. تؤكد التصاميم على استقرار واستمرارية الحكم الهاشمي في الأردن. تعكس هذه الإصدارات المعلم المهم في حكم الحسين الطويل الذي استمر حتى وفاته عام 1999.
